چکیده
Now more than ever, let us continue to develop personalized medicine to improve the remission rate for treatment resistant depressed patients. Recent findings about psychomotor retardation a core symptom of depression provide new insights into the predictive efficiency of personalized treatments, such as rTMS.

Economic evaluation of resistant major depressive disorder treat-ment in Iranian population: a comparison between repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation with electroconvulsive
Background: It is estimated that major depression disorders constitute 8.2% of years lived with disability (YLDs) globally. The repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (rTMS) and Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT) are two relative common interventions to treat major depressive disorders, especially for treatment resistant depression. In this study the cost- effectiveness and cost-utility of r...

Background and Objectives: Rumination in patients with major depressive disorder (MDD) is one of the cognitive risk factors for suffering from mood disorders. On the other hand repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) as a non-invasive method is applied for treatment of MDD. Therefore, the present study aimed to investigate the effectiveness of rTMS on reducing rumination in...

Background: Major depression disorder is one of the most common psychiatric disorders which is associated with impairment in cognitive functions, including working memory. In recent decades, a non-invasive and painless technique, called Repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (rTMS) has been used in treatment of treatment-resistant depressions. Current study was conducted to investigate th...
متن کاملThe impact of high-frequency repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation on fine motor functions in medication-resistant major depression.
OBJECTIVES Although high-frequency repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (HF-rTMS) over the left dorsolateral prefrontal cortex (DLPFC) has been reported to improve mood symptoms in major depressive disorder (MDD), research on its impact on psychomotor symptoms is scarce. This study assessed the psychomotor effects of 1 and 10 sessions, respectively, of HF-rTMS over the left DLPFC. MET...
متن کاملPsychomotor retardation is a scar of past depressive episodes, revealed by simple cognitive tests
The cumulative duration of depressive episodes, and their repetition, has a detrimental effect on depression recurrence rates and the chances of antidepressant response, and even increases the risk of dementia, raising the possibility that depressive episodes could be neurotoxic. Psychomotor retardation could constitute a marker of this negative burden of past depressive episodes, with conflict...
